The Mountview Health Complex will be constructed along Hwy. 43 on the southern outskirts of the town of Beaverlodge. This innovative approach to providing critical healthcare services is set to transform healthcare infrastructure in the town of Beaverlodge.

Located on the Red Deer College Campus, the CACAC is located in a 66,000 square foot one-of-a-kind facility (The Sheldon Kennedy Centre of Excellence) that brings together professionals with experience in abuse, addictions and mental health.
The CACAC is an exciting sister facility to the CAC in Calgary (Sheldon Kennedy Centre). Its purpose is to serve the Central Alberta needs primarily in Red Deer and surrounding communities. The project is a P4 (public, private, philanthropic partnership).
The project also included a partnership with Red Deer Polytechnic as it is located on land within its Campus, while the project had a limited amount of Provincial Government funding the majority of the capital cost was raised through private donors.
In order to provide for long term sustainability and service delivery, Alberta Health Services committed to co-locate their youth mental health ‘step down’ program in the CACAC facility.
Tenancy for complimentary AHS and other regional youth mental health programs is invaluable in making the project financially sustainable, to create a Centre of Excellence, to promote productivity and for research and education in this field
